I’m a professional horticulturalist whose career has taken me from Cambridge Botanic Garden and Sissinghurst to Windsor Castle—and even further afield to Israel, Sicily, and France. After a pause to raise my children, a series of well-timed opportunities nudged me towards writing. At first, I couldn’t believe my luck: researching and writing about plants felt far too enjoyable to be called ‘work.’ Thankfully, I was proven wrong!

Over the past few years, I’ve settled into a dream career creating horticultural content for retailers, national magazines, and garden websites. With more than 15 years of hands-on gardening experience, I bring genuine expertise to every article and project—but always with warmth, wit, and approachability.

I continue to garden professionally because I believe in practising what I preach. After all, never trust a garden writer with clean fingernails!
